Chiropractic & Physical Therapy Advice for Moms-to-Be

Posted on February 11, 2016

Eugene chiropractic for pregnancyPregnancy causes dramatic changes in a woman’s body, some of which can cause discomfort, particularly if one isn’t armed with the best knowledge of how to be happy and healthy during the transitions.

The American Chiropractic Association published some helpful information for pregnant women, including common sources of pain and how to prevent and treat them. Chiropractic medicine is extremely safe and very often makes a huge difference in improving the comfort and health of moms-to-be. It is important to understand exactly what structural changes are occurring in the woman’s body throughout pregnancy to make room for a quickly growing baby. Armed with knowledge, one can be empowered to take plenty of precautionary measures with smart exercise choices, improved home and workplace ergonomics, proper shoes, safe lifting techniques, and good nutrition, so that some normal discomfort from change doesn’t have to turn into a more painful pregnancy.
