Amber developed a passion for natural medicine from a young age. Originally from California, some of her fondest memories include visiting the Chinese herbal markets in San Francisco’s Chinatown with her herbalist mother. A passion for helping people and her desire to follow in her mother’s footsteps lead her to pursue a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Amber received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Humboldt State University in Northern California. She graduated from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, located in Portland Oregon with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Amber enjoys treating a wide variety of health-related issues and tailors each treatment to meet her patient’s specific needs. Her areas of interest include women’s health, sports medicine, pain management, mental health and palliative care.
Drawing from her own experiences, Amber believes that health education and patient-centered care are extremely valuable for recovery and overall well-being. She works with her patients to educate them on conditions being treated and the steps to take to improve their health and quality of life.
In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with family, a wide variety of athletics such as running and rock climbing, exploring the world, cheering on her favorite teams, and hiking around Oregon’s natural treasures.
What exactly is acupuncture?

What to expect from an acupuncture treatment
An acupuncturist will place fine, sterile needles at specific acupoints. This safe and painless insertion of the needles provides adequate nourishment to cells, organs, glands, tissues and muscles. This can eliminate pain and restore balance and harmony, as well as the body’s ability to heal itself—ultimately leading to optimal health and well-being. Everyone is unique in how acupuncture feels to them. Some say acupuncture is “painless,” while others can find it to be momentarily uncomfortable. It is not uncommon for patients to become deeply relaxed or even fall asleep. If you are not comfortable with acupuncture, you can choose other non-needle methods that are also effective. Treatment typically takes 45 minutes to an hour.
